This policy explains how we handle your information on our website, on our Facebook and Instagram pages, and when you request an estimate or hire us.

WHAT WE COLLECT

You give us directly:

Name, phone number, and email address
Property address and the areas to be painted
Project details such as surfaces, colors, timeline, and budget
Photos and project plans you choose to send us
Access information you choose to share, such as gate codes or pet notes
Messages you send by phone, text, email, Facebook Messenger, or Instagram

We create during your project:

Estimates, scopes of work, and contracts
Photos of the work area before, during, and after
Notes on surface conditions and products applied
Invoices, payment records, and warranty records

Collected automatically on our website:

IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited
Cookies that keep the site working and show us which pages people read

From Facebook and Instagram:

If you submit a lead form, Meta sends us the name, phone, and email you confirmed
If you message or comment on our posts, we see what your account makes visible
Aggregate statistics about who sees our posts, with no individual identities

We do not collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, or bank account numbers. If you pay by card, our payment processor handles that and we never see or store your full card number.

Schedule your walkthrough and your project
Order the right materials
Give our crew what they need to do the work
Send invoices and process payment
Honor our labor warranty and look up what was applied to your home
Answer your questions
Send updates about our services, if you asked to receive them
Improve our website

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or share it with data brokers or lead resellers.

PHOTOS OF YOUR PROPERTY

We photograph our work. Before, during, and after photos document what we found, what we did, and help resolve any warranty question later.

For our records: We keep project photos in your file for as long as your warranty runs.

For marketing: We publish project photos on our website, Facebook, or Instagram only if you sign a written photo release. Without one, your photos stay in your file.

What we never show: House numbers, street signs, license plates, or anything identifying your address. We do not name you or tag your location without separate written permission.

Changed your mind: Call or email us and we will take your photos down. Removal from our own site and accounts is immediate. Posts other people already shared or saved may be outside our control, and we will tell you honestly if that is the case.

WHO WE SHARE WITH

Our subcontract crews: your name, address, scope, schedule, and access instructions. They need this to do the job and may use it only for your project.
Our payment processor: card details go directly to them.
Our suppliers: we order by color and product code only, with no personal information.
Meta: when you use our Facebook or Instagram pages, ads, or lead forms, Meta processes that data under its own policy at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/
Google and Meta: our website uses the Google tag and Meta Pixel to measure visits and advertising activity. They may process page visits, device information and cookies under their policies.
Manus: provides website hosting, analytics and encrypted file storage.
Our email provider: when online requests are enabled, processes your request and optional attachment for delivery to mike@coloradoriverpainting.com.
Cloudflare: when our form verification is enabled, processes verification and connection information to help prevent spam.
Our insurer or advisors: only if there is a claim or dispute about your project.
Government or courts: only when legally required.

TEXT MESSAGES AND CALLS

If you give us your phone number, we may call or text you about your estimate and your project. We send marketing texts only if you separately agreed to them. Reply STOP to opt out of texts, or HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to marketing messages is never a condition of getting an estimate or hiring us.

EMAIL

If you join our email list, every message has an unsubscribe link. We will still email you about an active project, invoice, or warranty, because those are part of the service you hired us for.

COOKIES

Our site uses cookies to work properly and to show us which pages people read. Your browser settings can block cookies, though blocking some may stop parts of the site from working.

YOUR CHOICES

You can ask us to:

Tell you what information we have about you
Correct something that is wrong
Delete your information
Take your project photos down
Stop texting, emailing, or calling you about marketing

Call or email and we will take care of it, normally within a few days and always within 45 days.

One honest limit: we keep contracts, invoices, and project photos as long as your warranty runs and as long as tax and insurance rules require. If you ask us to delete everything while your warranty is active, we will remove what we can and explain what we have to keep and why.

HOW LONG WE KEEP THINGS

Estimate requests that did not become projects: 2 years
Contracts, invoices, and project records: 7 years
Project photos: the length of your warranty
Gate codes, lockbox codes, and alarm instructions: deleted when your project is complete
Text and email threads: 2 years

SECURITY

We use password-protected devices and accounts and limit who can see your information. Crews receive only what they need for your job. No business can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you.

When online requests are enabled, uploaded plans and photos are encrypted before storage and are not published at public file URLs. We validate file type and size on the server and send approved attachments only to our business inbox. If online delivery is unavailable, the form tells you and does not report a successful submission. Please do not include passwords, payment details or unnecessary sensitive information in plans or notes.

CHILDREN

Our services are for property owners and managers. Our website and social accounts are not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

LINKS TO OTHER SITES

We may link to paint manufacturers, the Painting Contractors Association, or financing partners. Those sites have their own policies.

CHANGES

We will post changes here and update the date at the top. If we significantly change how we use your information, we will say so clearly on this page.
